| About us Peter Giannacopoulos immigrated to the United States from Greece in 1967. From the age of twelve his life was spent on the waterfronts of Boston where he came to know and love every aspect of the restaurant business. At twenty, planning on a career in engineering, he was working for a major engineering firm while attending college. One afternoon, a corporate decision to eliminate his position left him without funding for further education and he found himself at the first great crossroad of his life. Reflecting on his early waterfront training as a valuable tool, he changed direction professionally. On April 21, 1975 with the support of his family and friends he opened Dolphin Seafood in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Since that time his mornings have been spent on the piers of Boston personally selecting the fish which is prepared and sold in his restaurants. Peter’s philosophy has been and continues to be, “to handpick the finest seafood and serve it to customers in a friendly atmosphere at the most reasonable prices possible.” |

His recipe for success enabled him to open a second, even larger restaurant in Natick, Massachusetts on March of 1994. Today, the Natick location flourishes with everything from trend-setting dinners to large scale functions. Peter’s oldest son John Giannacopoulos, continues his father’s tradition in the Cambridge location. Raised in the business by his father he offers the highest level of seafood value, quality and customer service. The newly renovated Harvard Square location continues to be a hotspot for locals and tourists alike. |
